I Quit the Coaching, Not Because I Failed But Because I Found Myself

And that was the bravest thing I’ve ever done.

For two years, I woke up with a single goal:
Crack NEET. Get a good rank. Make everyone proud.

I joined the best coaching centre in town.
I followed the routine.
I made the timetables, highlighted NCERT lines, filled out the test papers.
I did everything a “serious aspirant” was supposed to do.

But every night, a part of me felt like a stranger in my own body.

It Wasn’t Just Stress. It Was Suffocation.

Everyone told me feeling lost was normal.
That all toppers go through “phases.”
That success lies just beyond the burnout.

But I wasn’t just tired — I was empty.

Biology didn’t excite me.
Physics didn’t challenge me — it scared me.
I wasn’t studying out of curiosity anymore, just out of fear.

Fear of being a disappointment.
Fear of having no backup plan.
Fear of saying the words: “I don’t want this anymore.”

One Day, I Stopped Pretending.

I was halfway through a mock paper.
And I just… closed the book.

It didn’t feel like defeat.
It felt like a deep breath after years of drowning.

Telling My Parents Was the Hardest Part.

They didn’t yell.
They just stared.
And then they asked, “What now?”

I didn’t have a perfect answer.
But for the first time, the path ahead didn’t terrify me.
Because now — it was mine.

What No One Tells You About Quitting

It’s not about giving up.
It’s about growing up.

It takes courage to say,
“I don’t see myself in this life I’m chasing.”

It takes strength to walk away from something everyone claps for — and choose the road that feels right to you.

If You’re Feeling the Same…

Please know this:

You’re not weak.
You’re not lost.
You’re just becoming honest with yourself.

Whether you choose medicine, art, psychology, law, or something no one understands yet —
make sure it’s your decision.

Because peace doesn’t lie in a rank.
It lies in living your truth — unapologetically.
